Watertight Concrete

Sika is the market leader in concrete admixture technology. Combining this with our expertise in waterproofing has led to the development and evolution of the Sika® Watertight Concrete System, now the most widely used system of its type in the UK.

Watertight Concrete Powder

Sika® Watertight Concrete Powder is a combined water resisting and HRWR/Superplasticising admixture, used to enhance the workability of and reduce the water permeability of concrete. The product incorporates Sika® ViscoCrete Superplasticiser Technology and depending on material package will produce watertight concrete at a S3 consistence with a w/c ratio of <0.45 without the addition of a separate HRWR/Superplasticiser. Watertight concrete can be produced which is suitable for BS8102:2009 Type B construction (grades 1-3). Sika® Watertight Concrete Powder meets the requirements of BS EN 934-2 Table 9.

Sika® WT-200 P

Sika® WT-200 P is a combined water resisting and crystalline waterproofing admixture used to reduce permeability of concrete and has the ability to heal cracks.

Sika® 1+

Sika® 1+ is a liquid water resisting admixture used to reduce the permeability of concrete. Used in combination with Viscocrete® Superplasticiser Technology, watertight concrete can be produced which is suitable for BS8102:1990 Type B construction (grades 1-4). It meets the requirements of BS EN 934-2.

Sika Fibre Reinforced Concrete

Fibres are an ideal ingredient for improving the performance and durability of concrete and mortar. Different fibre types are used to deliver different performance requirements. Sika provides solutions for all eventualities, as well as other special types and blends of fibres.

SikaFiber® Force – Macro Fibres

This is a range of macro synthetic fibres that are extruded, embossed and then specifically cut into the required lengths for a wide range of concreting applications. It can be used in ready mixed concrete, precast and sprayed concrete applications both above and in underground situations. The macro synthetic fibres have been designed to replace traditional steel reinforcement with the benefits of increased performance, reduced costs and health and safety advantages.

SikaFiber® PPM – Micro Fibres

This is a polypropylene monofilament micro-fibre. The fibres are coated with surfactant to improve dispersion. They are extremely fine and therefore hardly visible within the hardened surface of the end cementitious product. Micro-fibres are specially designed to provide reduced plastic shrinkage cracks, plastic settlement and bleeding. They also offer an alternative to crack control mesh with the appropriate design. They can reduce water and chemical permeability and increase abrasion resistance and impact resistance.

SikaFiber® 6 FF – Micro Fibres

SikaFiber® 6 FF is a polypropylene monofilament fibre which reduces the occurrence of plastic shrinkage cracking and plastic settlement whilst enhancing the surface properties and the durability of the hardened cementitious product. The fibres are coated with surfactant to improve dispersion. SikaFiber® 6 FF is extremely fine and although slightly visible at the plastic stage, they are not readily seen on the hardened surface of the cementitious product.

Concrete Retarders

Admixtures that extend the setting of fresh concrete. By shifting the beginning of hydration of the cement, the consistence of the concrete can be extended - perfect for high temperatures, mass construction & extension of workability.

Accelerators

Set accelerating admixtures which decrease the time to commencement of transition from the concrete, mortar or screed mix from the plastic to the rigid state. Hardening accelerating admixtures increase the rate if development of early strength in the concrete, without affecting the setting time.

SikaRapid®-1

SikaRapid®-1 is a liquid hardening accelerator for concrete and mortar. It promotes early strength development without negatively influencing final strengths.

Air Entering Agents

Air entraining admixtures allow the controlled quantity of small, uniformly distributed air bubbles to be incorporated during mixing which remain after hardening.

Sika® AER 46

Sika® AER 46 is a liquid air entraining concrete admixture which is formulated from modified naturally occurring and synthetic surfactants. It meets the requirements of BS EN 934-2.

Sika® AER 5

Sika® AER 5 is a liquid air entraining concrete admixture which is formulated from modified naturally occurring and synthetic surfactants. It has been specially formulated to perform with concretes containing Pulverised Fuel Ash (PFA). It meets the requirements of BS EN 934-2.

Sika® Control 40

Sika®Control 40 is a liquid shrinkage reducing admixture used to produce high performance concrete with greatly reduced drying shrinkage. It meets the requirements of BS 8443.

Sika® Stabiliser 4 is a liquid admixture for concrete which is used to modify the viscosity and eliminate segregation of concrete.

Sika® UCS Pak

Sikafloor® K-L

Sikafloor® K-L is a liquid additive for improving semi-dry cementitious screeds utilising advanced admixture technology. Sikafloor® K-L modified screeds can be batched on site or by volumetric mixers to ensure a high quality product for multiple applications. The screeds are capable of achieving high strengths with low shrinkage. The delivery is exact, as the volumetric mixer controls the quantity required. The range consists of Sikafloor® K-L Standard and Sikafloor® K-L Super. Both are also available incorporating polypropylene fibres if required.
